​The Department of Computer Science, since the establishment of the College, aims to consolidate scientific knowledge and practical experiences in the field of computer science, which enables the student to keep abreast of the latest developments in this broad and renewable field, as there are a large number of job opportunities for graduates of the Department of Computer Science, and therefore the curriculum is designed in a way that allows the department Computer science has great freedom to adapt the curriculum to the needs of students, business and industry. For this purpose, the educational program of the Department of Computer Science focused on the basic results that must be fulfilled, providing the possibility to delve into each discipline.

Word of The Director

Computer Science serves as a bridge that connects science and technology for designing, building, and implementing hardware and software systems. The field of computer science heavily relies on theories and principles of computing, mathematics, and engineering, applying these theoretical foundations in designing software, networks, computing devices, and tools to solve technical problems in various applied fields.


The Department of Computer Science prepares and equips students to become professionals in various computer-related fields, as well as to pursue advanced graduate studies. The department expects students to be capable of creating innovative solutions to complex problems across diverse contexts.


The Computer Science curriculum focuses on developing practical programming skills alongside the use of mathematics in computing, in addition to modern theoretical computing that supports current technologies and guides their future development and progress.

Objectives

1. To equip graduates with deep understanding and comprehensive knowledge in computer science, enabling them to effectively engage in the practice of computer science and solve complex problems across a wide range of applications.  

2. To graduate students who are able to apply their knowledge and skills in computer science for the public benefit of society.  

3. To graduate students capable of enhancing the economic well-being of the Tabuk region and the Kingdom as a whole, by combining technical expertise with leadership and entrepreneurial spirit.  

4. To prepare students for successful and fulfilling careers as professionals in both industrial and governmental institutions.  

5. To produce graduates who are aware of the legal, ethical, social, and global policy issues related to computer systems, while fostering their teamwork and communication skills to meet the needs of society and institutions professionally.  

6. To prepare students for pursuing graduate studies and lifelong learning in a rapidly evolving field.
