About

​The Department of Basic Sciences was established based on the decision of His Excellency the President of the University of Tabuk No. 45/052/14284, dated 3/23/1445 AH, concerning the reconstruction of the departments of the University College in Haql. The department is concerned with managing the administrative and academic affairs of faculty members who do not have a department title that corresponds to their qualifications and specializations, and the department does not grant an academic degree.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Word of The Director

Praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds, and may blessings and peace be upon our Profet Muhammad, and upon all his family and companions.

The Department of Basic Sciences was established at the University College at Haql, at the beginning of the academic year 1445 AH, 2023 AD, which I had the honor to head, assisted by an elite group of the most qualified professors in their specializations. The Department of Basic Sciences is the cornerstone of all present specializations in the departments at the University College at Haql, being scientific or humanistic departments.

In this department, the basic sciences are integrated to be the source of knowledge for every student and researcher in all departments, by presenting scientific material in the simplest, most modern, most advanced and high-quality form, using modern technology, to benefit the students in future, expand their awareness, ability, to conduct scientific research, and serve their community.

 Thus, consolidating the implementation of the university and college's vision and mission, by providing distinguished education, participating in scientific research, creativity, and contributing to community service, through the teaching staff and students in the college.

We ask Allah Almighty to help us to succeed in what we hope for our students, using unique and best means, to be competent enough, to serve Islam, KSA, and achieving the Kingdom's Vision 2030 AD.

The student is the focal point of the college’s mission within providing an excellent education, qualifying the cadre, providing knowledge and skills, doing inventive pieces of research to meet the demands of the community and marketplace, as well as achieving sustainable development in a teaching environment that supports innovation and learning.

Department Objectives:​​

  • Conducting departmental council meetings and coordinating administrative and educational matters.
  • Overseeing the activities of the department, its administrative divisions, and its affiliated
        committees.
  • Dedication to enforcing applicable statutes, rules, rulings, and directives.
  • Monitor the progress of students' course registration, enhance the services required by students and
         and resolve any issues they encounter.
  • Overseeing the administration of semester and final exams on their designated dates.
  • Enacting psychological, social, and vocational guidance and counseling programs for pupils.
  • Executing diverse students' activities.
  • Fostering and inspiring the department's faculty members to engage in scientific research in
        research in pertinent domains.
  • Dedication to adhering to the university's recognized quality and accreditation standards and
        regulations.
