About the unit
The Curriculum Unit as part of the work team at the English Language Center seeks to achieve the center's goals through excellence in curriculum design and development. To achieve this goal, the unit curriculum paved the way for that by designing, developing and adopting the integrated curriculum for all English language courses.
Unit tasks (50 words)
The Curriculum Unit was assigned by Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Fahadi to work on developing the current curricula for the English language, which is offered to first-year students, to the integrated curriculum. With this transformation, which will extend to more than three phases, the English Language Center is honored with the full support of the University President, Dr. Abdullah Al-Diyabi. The first stage of the plan is the progress and success of the academic year 2018/2019. In addition, the Curriculum Unit is tasked with reviewing any other curriculum used in the English Language Center programs, especially such as the dedicated community-based language skills awareness courses.
Unit objectives
Design the English language curriculum in agreement with the best practices of instructional design.
Developing a suitable curriculum for the English language course that serves the needs of all university faculties and in line with the provisions of the National Center for Academic Accreditation and Assessment based on the best methods used in teaching English to non-native speakers.
Review and evaluate the current English language curriculum.
Achieving the objectives of the English Language Center through cooperation and coordination with the rest of the center's units.
Participating with local and international bodies in order to cooperate in developing English language curricula at the University of Tabuk.
