My research interests focus on the adoption and diffusion of information and communication technologies (ICTs) in Small and Medium Size Enterprises (SMEs) and society In general, I am interested in investigating how consumers, organizations and society deploy and use ICTs for the various purposes such as delivering education, e-commerce, e-business, and e-government services I am also interested in national and international polices for technology diffusion and analyzing the theories and research approaches utilized to study the adoption and diffusion of ICTs
My principal research interests include the field of wireless broadband adoption particularly Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access (WiMax) technology adoption by Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) I have investigated the impact of organizational cultural of SMEs, vendors’ commercialization strategies and government policies on WiMax technology adoption by SMEs in the city of Jeddah for my PhD
My future research plans are to build on the foundations of my PhD to further develop models and tools in conjunction with government bodies, environmental agencies, and city financial modelers Furthermore, how the deployment and use of ICTs would affect the existing structure and performance of organizations and society is also an area of future research interest
